The best way to see the Dutch tulip fields is with a guided cycling tour. A local guide will show you the most beautiful flower fields around Keukenhof flower park and tell you all about the tulip and the Bulb Region. The guide knows exactly where the most beautiful flowers are blooming at that moment and also takes you to an authentic tulip farm with, of course, many beautiful photo locations. The cycle route is about 15 kilometres long.
Visit Holland’s most beautiful flower fields
During the bicycle tour, you will enjoy the flower fields around Keukenhof in a relaxed manner. Your guide gives directions for cycling and tells you a lot of information about the tulip cultivation for which the Bulb Region has become world-famous. On the way, you will pass Keukenhof Castle, Dever Castle, the Keukenhof windmill and, of course, the flower fields with tulips, daffodils and hyacinths. During the cycle tour, there is a break of about 25 minutes at tulip farm De Tulperij. A toilet is also available there.
Duration of the cycle tour
The bicycle tour is about 15 kilometres and takes about 2.5 hours. On the way, you will stop at photogenic spots and you will make a stop at tulip farm the Tulperij. Due to the short cycling distance and the varied stops, the bicycle tour is fun for young and old.
Group size
There are two different bike tours.
- The standard guided cycle route has a maximum of 18 participants
- The small group cycle route has a maximum of 6 participants

Start times bicycle tour
During the tulip season, there are bicycle tours from 21 March to 12 May 2024. Several bicycle tours leave each day. There is a morning tour and two tours in the afternoon. Below are the start times.
- Morning tour 09:30 am
- Afternoon tour 12:45 pm
- Afternoon tour 4 pm
- Small group tour leaves every day at 2 pm
Price guided bike tour
The guided bicycle tour can be booked exclusively during the tulip season. The price includes rental bike and helmet. Below are the prices for the bicycle tour:

Book your cycling tour
The guided bike tours are popular and have a limited number of participants per group. Therefore, it is mandatory to book your cycling tour in advance. Note: book in time. The cycle tour starts just 400 metres from the main entrance of Keukenhof flower park at Hotel Restaurant Lowietje in Lisse. The hotel has plenty of free parking space for guests.

Child seats for children aged 1 – 5 years (9 – 22 kg) available on REQUEST (info@tulipbicycletour.com). Cost €15.00 can be paid cash on the spot. For safety reasons, children’s bicycles are not available for children aged 6 to 12.
