Right next to the Keukenhof flower park is the grounds of Keukenhof Castle. These freely accessible castle gardens are open all year round and are an ideal stopover during one of the cycle routes or one of the sightseeing tours. In the summer, enjoy the beautiful dahlia gardens in the castle grounds. You can have a bite to eat and drink in restaurant De Hofboerderij. The estate also houses a petting zoo and the LAM Lisse museum. Behind the estate is the Keukenhof forest where you can take lovely walks. Regularly (paid) events are organised on the estate. In short, there is plenty to experience in the gardens of Keukenhof Castle.
Hop off at the castle gardens of Keukenhof

Gardens of Keukenhof Castle
Keukenhof petting zoo
There is a nice petting zoo on the estate. Here children can enjoy goats, pigs, chickens and many other animals. There is an indoor location and a large animal pasture that the children are also allowed to enter.
Gnome trail Keukenhof
The start of the fun gnome trail of 2 kilometres is also located at the petting zoo. On this walk for children, you follow the route on the basis of fun gnome poles.
Restaurant de Hofboerderij
Relax and enjoy the delicious snacks and drinks of the Hofboerderij. From a cup of coffee to an extensive lunch. It’s all possible at Restaurant de Hofboerderij. You will find this restaurant in the middle of the estate near the children’s farm.
LAM Museum
The LAM Museum is located on the estate and gives you a unique art experience in 45 minutes. It is the food art museum of the Netherlands and has a top international collection. You must reserve a ticket with a starting time in advance. You can choose whether you want to pay for your ticket (7.50 for an adult) or have your ticket sponsored. Book your start time here
Keukenhof forest
To the south of the estate lies the extensive Keukenhof forest. The Keukenhof woods are located on an authentic beach ridge. This is special, because many sand barriers have disappeared. In the Keukenhof woods, you experience the landscape as it was before it was excavated for bulb cultivation and the construction of towns.
Average visiting time
The estate is very extensive and the duration of a visit depends very much on the activities you want to undertake. On average, a visit lasts between 1 and 4 hours.
