Between the Dutch beach and the tulip fields lies the beautiful Dutch dune area. The dunes in the Bollenstreek are very extensive and there are many different wild animals roaming around. With various cycling routes and sightseeing tours, you will also discover this versatile dune area.

Hop off at the Dutch Dunes

The Bollenstreek (bulb region) is famous for its beautiful tulip fields in the spring, but did you know that the Bollenstreek also has a very large nature reserve. The Hollandse Duinen are a unique nature reserve that is rich in wild animals such as deer, foxes and rabbits. Various cycling routes take you through the dunes.

Average visiting time

The average duration of a visit to Holland’s dunes depends very much on the wishes of the visitor. Most people follow the cycle route through the dune area. By doing so, they already see a lot of the special area. There are several picnic locations where you can stop for a moment.

Opening hours Dutch dunes

This part of the dune area is public space and always open. Since there is no lighting and the animals are active in the dark, we advise against entering the Hollandse Duinen after sunset.
